This song was made by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. But essentionally McCartney made it. Main vocalist of this song is Paul McCartney.
Because Paul would try to make "Let It Be" as a piece of  gospel music. He asked Billy Preston, a keyboard performer, what he would do if this song is a gospel. And based on the idea of Billy,
Paul made htis song introducing a gospel-style organ and chorus.
This song was recorded in the last beatles' album "Let It Be", the sound track of the movie  "Let It Be". In this film two big things are shown. They are "Get Back Session" that beatles did in 1969, January and "Roof Top Concert" that was beatles'last live performance. "Get Back Session" was held at Paul McCartney's idea. After beatles stopped the concerts in 1966, they released the album "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club" and ther had an steady reputation. But after their manager, Braian Epstein, has died, unity as the band was going to be weak. And most songs in "White Album" that was released in 1968, are made and sang by each beatles member. Because in this situation Paul felt a sense of crisis, he suggest an idea that to get back their starting point, they held the session and concert in front of many audience as ob old. Although other member were interested in it, they immediately show disagreement about the size, contents and time.
"Loof Top Concert" was held to make a film at the last scene in the roof top of beatles'bill without a previous. Becouse all of sudden this live performance of famous musicians ,beatles, sterted, on the road and the neiboor roof many onlooker came.Eventually police were comming and they try to let beatles stop to play music. But many people who were related beatles let police stop. After all for 47 minute, the live concert were held. Bud sadly this movie intimated the beatles' dissolution.

It was made by Lenon-McCartney. But essentially Jhon Lenon made it. the lead vorcal is Jhon Lenon. The conbition of the threebeats and four beats is one ob the his style. But we never hear it difficult. The positive lyrics that were expressed by double negatives are also impressive. jhon said "It did not take 30 minutes to make the song. But it took a week to sing this song perfectly." In the intro of this song, many famouse melody are played-"La Marseillaise",the French national antherme, and J.S.Bach's"Invention No.8 BWV779"and the intro of "In The Mood" that aws played by Glenn Miller Orchestra and "Green Srivusu",one of the England falk songs, and the beatls' "She Loves You"-.
This song were made for "OUR WORLD", the universal broadcast special progrem,that used universal communication satellite and that was broadcast to 31 countries in 1965, june 25.
In this program, the beatles broadcast their recording scene around the world. Just after the live broadcast, Ring changed a part of Jhon's vorcal and role of the snare drum, and they recorded again. So there is a difference between the live broadcast version and the released version. And this song made the beatles hero from the hippie in west side of America.
After this song was released as a single in 1967, in UK this song was recorded in "Magical Mistery tour". And becouse it was used in the animated movie, "Yellow Submarine", in which beatles was heroes. In this movie, this song is used where beatles defeated the monsters that vandalizzed Pepperland by music.
In 2002 june 3, at the 50th anniversary concert, this song was sang by all persons present. Paul MaCartney also played main vorcal and a bass guitar. This was the first time Paul sang this song in public after dissollution of beatles.
In Japan many companies use this song. For example "Sapporo Beer","NTT docomo". And in "Ponkiki-zu" Japanese animation this song is used. But it is not easy to get the allowance of using beatles'original sound souces, if it was allowed, fee to use the song is very high. So the cover version is used.
Although I don't remember when I heard this song at the first time. I remember that I heard this song in English class when I was 16 years old. My English teacher used this song toteach a relative pronoun . Because there are many beatles' songs that have easy words, in Japan beatles'songs are often used in English class.

This song was made by Lennon = McCartney. Essentially, this song was made by Paul McCartney. The lead vocal is Paul. Paul is responsible for the piano part and also the supervision of the orchestra which is the late refrain part. Playing time of more than seven minutes is unusual as a pop at that time. In the second half (more than half of the entire song),  the refrain "na na na, na na na na ... Hey Jude" are repeated endlessly. (Clapping and chorus of this refrain was done by the 36 member of orchestra who played a part in this song's second half.)  It is said that Paul made this song to encourage Julian who is John's son (5 years old at that time) when the catastrophe of John lennon and then his wife Cynthia became decisive. Paul actually said "initially, this song had been conceived as " Hey Jules" (Jules is a nick name of Julian)". On the other hand, John said " I can also listen to this song for myself" (In this time, John was crazy to Yoko) And John thought that " this song is the unconcious message of  Paul which addressed to Paul himself who has been destoroyed unilaterally engagement from fiancee, jane Asher. Paul has denied about this. Also, because Jude is a female name, some people think that this song is written for a Judith Simons who is a female reporter of the Daily Express. Meanwhile, in German, Jude stnds for the Jews. Paul did not know about it at all, and he wrote in large letters "hey Jude" in the window of the Apple boutique as propaganda. This large letters was misinterpreted as anti semitics graffiti. So, it became a matterthet window glass is broken and they have the phone call of protest. Paul was going to delete or modify the lyrics of "The movement you need is on your shoulders" But John said "I think it is the most cool lyrics. Don't discard this." So Paul don't discard that. When Paul sing the lyrics even now, Paul feel nostalgic because of remembering John. After the dissolution of the BEATLES, John said "the lyics of this song is very nice. It is the evidence that Paul  also can write good lyrics". And between "Remember to let her under your skin" and " Then you'll begin to make it better", you can hear  a little shout tyhat Paul said " Fucking hell!!" John said " Paul miss the piano, so he said the word which we must not use. But I suggested that it leave as it is. You may be not able to hear that. but we know that.
